I sold some shares online via HDFC Securities but have received neither the contract note nor the statement of accounts. HDFC Securities isn’t responding to my complaints. What should I do?

You will receive the electronic order and trade confirmation as soon as your deal is executed to the email id you’ve provided the bank. Your DP statement with details of shares sold and bought, as well as your linked bank account statement, which shows the credit of funds, should also be available. Check if these documents have been sent electronically to you. Check your DP and bank account balances as well. There are no physical documents in electronic trading platforms, unless the customer explicitly has stated that he requires the same. The brokerage is as stated in your contract opening form, and cannot be changed without you being notified. The customer helpline numbers for the online trading account are usually available on 24/7 basis. Lodge your request with them, rather than calling the branch.
