Health insurance is available with annual renewal. So, can an insurance company insure me right now but deny me cover when I am older? Or, can they quote a prohibitive premium?

Most of the health insurance policies do not cover pre-existing diseases. And, as one grows older more ailments crop up. Therefore, it makes more sense to start your health insurance at a younger age. Although health insurance is an annual contract, but once a policy is granted, usually, no insurer withdraws the policy unless there is a break in continuity. Policy rates are normally quoted for a fixed age band and you can expect some form of consistency with premium pricing.
