Taking the cue from several government schemes, newly formed mutual fund company Mahindra AMC has plans to introduce schemes which have Hindi names. The company has filed papers with SEBI to launch four schemes of which three have Hindi names—Mahindra MF Bachat Yojana, Mahindra MF Kar Bachat Yojana and Mahindra MF Bal Vikas Yojana.

The AMC has plans to focus on the investment needs of investors in the semi-urban and rural areas where many are still new to mutual funds. The idea is to make people in these markets aware of investment opportunities in their own language and the product name is the key.

With such a name, people can connect to a scheme’s objective more effectively.
