Axis Mutual Fund announces renaming of several Mutual Fund Schemes. Mumbai, September 27, 2024. Axis Mutual Fund, one of the fastest-growing asset management companies in India, today announced the renaming of several of its mutual fund schemes that will come into effect from 30th September 2024. This rebranding exercise aims to give investors clearer, more transparent information about the investment objectives of the funds, thus helping them make better-informed financial decisions.

MD & CEO of the company, B. Gopkumar, while emphasizing that the name changes are aimed at making investors understand which fund they are investing in, said that they believe these name changes will empower their clients with more transparency regarding their investment choices. "It is important that investors have clarity about the objectives and strategies of funds they choose," Gopkumar stated.

One of the most prominent changes is that the name of the Axis Children's Gift Fund has been changed to Axis Children's Fund. The name itself reflects more streamlined and fundamental thought so automatically by investing in the fund, one comes to know it will put investment in a child-centric financial planning perspective. Correspondingly, the Axis Retirement Savings Fund has also been rebranded as Axis Retirement Fund with the message that it acts as a savings plan for retirement long term.

The notable change will be the renaming of Axis Corporate Debt Fund to Axis Corporate Bond Fund. The other scheme to see the nomenclature change is Axis Ultra Short Term Fund, which will be renamed as Axis Ultra Short Duration Fund. Such a renaming aims to present schemes' categories and objectives in clearer categories for investors who will thus precisely understand their risk profiles as well as their time horizons better.

Moreover, names make them easier to understand. However, Axis Mutual Fund has kept the same fund management teams for each of the schemes. The best managers, like Jayesh Sundar, Devang Shah, and Ashish Naik, will continue managing their respective funds and also ensure continuity and stability in the management process.

Launching this renaming exercise falls in place with the overall approach of Axis AMC to provide high-quality, transparent investment solutions tailor-made for different financial goals. The firm expresses that such reforms will ease the process of comparing the various schemes and picking the one that best meets the needs of the investor.
