iPhone 16 In 10 Minutes, Say Quick-Commerce Platforms

The iPhone 16 series was launched globally on September 9 and the series is now available in 58 countries, including India, where it was launched today

Amid the frenzy over the launch of the iPhone 16 series in India on September 20, 2024, some quick-commerce platforms, such as BigBasket, Zomato-led Blinkit, Zepto, and Flipkart Minutes have announced that they will deliver the new iPhone 16s within 10 minutes of placing an order. 

Blinkit has been providing this offer since the launch of the iPhone 14 series and plans to continue this for the iPhone 16s, too. Tata-owned online grocery delivery service BigBasket has partnered with Tata Croma with the promise to deliver the iPhone 16 series in 10 minutes.  

Since September 13, 2024, Apple has started booking pre-orders. Besides the Apple stores in Delhi and Mumbai, iPhone 16s can also be bought on the company’s website and other preferred platforms.

iPhone 16 Series 

The iPhone 16 series includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.  

This series comes with new design, such as, new buttons on the side, updated software and improved hardware. 

The iPhone 16 with 128 GB storage is available for Rs. 79,900 in India, and the iPhone16 Plus with the same storage is available for Rs. 89,900. Both the devices are also available with 256GB and 521GB storage capacities. These two series are available in a range of colour options, such as black, pink, teal, ultramarine and white. 

The iPhone 16 Pro is priced at Rs. 1,19,900 for the 128GB storage option, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is available for Rs. 1,44,900 for the 256 GB variant. These two series also have models with internal storage capacity of 512GB, and 1TB. These two series are available in black titanium, desert titanium, natural titanium, and white titanium.  

On purchasing the phones from Apple store using American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards, buyers will get an instant discount of Rs. 5,000. One can also go for no-cost equated monthly instalments (EMIs) of 3-6 months offered by Apple. Apple is also offering buyback discounts of up to Rs. 67,500 upon exchanging old Apple phones.  

The iPhone 16 series can be bought from the Apple stores at Saket in Delhi, BKC in Mumbai, the official Apple website, e-commerce websites, and authorised stores.  

Features 

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come with ‘Action Button’ and a brand-new ‘Camera Control Button’. The Apple A18 SoC and a new dual rear camera set-up are also incorporated in a spatial capture. These two series run on the iOS 18 platform. 

The larger 6.7-inch display on the iPhone 16 Plus is paired with enhanced Ceramic Shield protection and 2,000 nits of peak brightness as compared to the 6.1-inch display on the iPhone 16. Still, only a 60Hz OLED panel is available on either phone.  

These two series also include a 48-megapixel primary rear camera with a 2x in-sensor zoom and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera that can capture macro images. A 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera is located on the front for taking selfies. 

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max from Apple now have bigger screens and thinner bezels. The Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display, whereas the Pro only has a 6.3-inch one display.  

A Retina XDR OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 2,000 nits is used in both these models. The phones come pre-installed with the iOS 18 software and are powered by the Apple A18 Pro chipset. 

The 48-megapixel primary camera, the new 48-megapixel ultrawise camera, and the 12-megapixel telephoto ‘tetraprism’ periscope camera with 5x optical zoom comprise the triple rear camera configuration seen in the iPhone 16 Pro models. The front boasts of a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera. These two models now support 4K recording at 120 frames per second.
