I want to invest in gold ETFs which can be held in my demat account. Which gold ETF scheme is the best?

Considering gold ETFs are structured in a way that they all generate exactly the same return, there is little to choose between the existing gold ETFs. The NAVs of these funds move according to the market price of gold; less the expenses. All gold ETFs currently charge around one per cent as expenses. So you can choose an ETF that has the least expense ratio. Moreover, one can buy or sell ETFs only through a demat account, so any gold ETF that you invest in will be held in your demat account only.
