I want to increase the insurance cover on my health policy. My current insurer is not allowing me to do so on the existing policy. What can I do?

If your present insurers are not inclined to increase the cover while the policy is running, you can approach other insurers for a fresh cover. Both the policies can operate simultaneously. At the time of moving to a fresh proposal, you will, however, have to furnish the details of your existing policy. Alternatively, you can wait till the term of your present policy is over and renew the policy with enhanced sum insured, which is a provision that most health insurers do permit.
