I have a credit card from a private sector bank with a credit limit of Rs 1 lakh. I want to raise the limit. What is the procedure?

The bank assesses an individual’s credit profile before assigning the credit limit on a credit card. This limit includes the cash limit as well. In order to raise the credit limit, talk to the customer service department of the bank. Ideally, you should explain the reason behind increasing the credit limit of your card. Depending on the usage of your card, the bank will decide whether the limit of your card should be raised. There is a possibility that the bank will upgrade you to a card with a higher limit rather than raising the limit on the existing card.
