If the assignee of a life insurance policy expires, who would have the rights to that policy?

Kavita Vyas, Ambala

In the event of the death of the assignee of the policy, all the rights to the policy would vest with the assignee’s legal heirs. Unless the assignment was of conditional type, whereby a condition pertaining to reversion of rights to the assignor was attached with the policy. In such a situation, the assignor would have the rights.
