Two years ago, I was diagnosed with kidney stones, which resulted in a health insurer refusing me a policy. I am now cured and looking for a new policy. Will I be issued a policy now?

It is unfortunate that you had to undergo so much confusion. Yes, you can apply afresh to an insurer and seek a policy and the chance of getting a policy is higher, given the fact that you do not have any ailments. Make sure you disclose all existing medical conditions so that the insurer can analyse your case better to arrive at a judgement on issuing you a policy or declining it. The insurer may wish to conduct a pre-issuance medical check-up at which time you should inform the doctor concerned about the previous confusion over you have kidney stones only to discover that not being the case so that they can check you thoroughly and arrive at a comprehensive report on your health. You should not limit yourself by asking for a policy from a single insurer. You should try and seek a cover from more than one insurer.
