PM Matritva Vandana Yojana: All About The Scheme For Expecting And Lactating Mothers

The Central Government is running many schemes for women's welfare across the country. One of these is PM Matritva Vandana Yojana, which is a very ambitious scheme of the Central Government. Under this scheme, women get Rs 11 thousand annually. Under this scheme, this amount is given to women by the government for the upbringing of their children. Now under this scheme, Rs 11,000 will be sent to the beneficiary in three phases.

Benefits of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana 

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) will benefit pregnant women and lactating mothers during the birth of the first live child. The benefit amount of this scheme will be sent directly to the bank account of the beneficiary through DBT. According to the report, the government will pay the amount in the following instalments.

First instalment: Rs 1000 at the time of pregnancy registration

Second instalment: Rs 2000, if the beneficiary undergoes at least one antenatal checkup after six months of pregnancy.

Third instalment: Rs 2000, when the birth of the child is registered and the child starts the first vaccination cycle including BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis-B.

Assistance of up to Rs 5000 will be given to a pregnant metal woman who becomes a mother for the first time.

To avail the benefits of PM Matritva Vandana Yojana, you can apply sitting at home. Let us tell you that to avail the benefits of the scheme, the beneficiary will have to apply online and submit his documents to the departmental office. If the beneficiary cannot go to the departmental office herself, she can avail of the benefits of the scheme by contacting the Asha worker of her nearest primary health centre.

The application process

To avail of the benefits of PM Matritva Vandana Yojana, the beneficiary needs an Ayushman Card, I-Shram Card, MNREGA, Job Card, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Certificate, Divyang Certificate, Caste Certificate, Ration Card, BPL and certificates which shows Income should be less than Rs 8 lakh. To apply for the scheme, beneficiaries can apply with these documents at www.pmmvy.nic.in. Benefits of the scheme are being given to the beneficiaries. To avail of the benefit the beneficiary will have to apply online. Along with this, if the beneficiary can apply online, then she can get help from the Asha or ANM worker at her nearest health centre.

PM Matru Vandana Yojana was launched on 31 November 2016 and named Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana (PMMVY) Yojana. It was implemented in all the districts of the country from January 1, 2017, as per the provisions of the National Food Security Act 2013. Through this scheme, financial assistance is given to the pregnant woman by the government from 150 days before delivery till after delivery.
