'Mahtari Vandan' scheme: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Mahtari Vandan' scheme Sunday. Under this scheme, the BJP government fulfilled its promise of giving Rs 1,000 every month to more than 70 lakh women in Chhattisgarh. What is 'Mahtari Vandan' scheme?
Mahtari Vandana Yojana, which is commonly known as Mahtari Scheme, is for married women. Here, divorced and widowed women are also included among the married women. Let us tell you that the benefit of this scheme is not available to unmarried women, no matter what their age. This is a very famous scheme in the state, which has been benefited by more than 70 lakh women (Mahtari Vandan Yojana First Installment). Under this, Rs 1,000 is given to women, this is given only to married, widows and economically weak women by the government.
Who will get this amount?
If you live in Chhattisgarh and your age is between 23-60 years, then you can be eligible for it, provided the applicant is married or widowed and the family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh. How to apply?
To get its benefits you will have to apply for this scheme. You can apply online or can also choose an off-line option. Here we will tell you about both processes.
Offline Process
You will have to go to the nearest Anganwadi Centre, Panchayat Bhawan, Ward, Women and Child Development Block of your area.
Talk to any concerned official of the office about the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and get the application form for the scheme.
Fill in the required information in the form carefully like your name, husband's name, village, and block.
Self-verify the required documents.
Submit the documents along with your filled application form and receive the slip.
Online Process
Chhattisgarh State Government has created a Google Form for the applicants. To complete your application process, first go to the form link. Then fill in the required information and submit your application. Once the application is submitted, all the information will be verified by the concerned authorities and with the verification only the applicant will be registered for the scheme.
