The Maharashtra government has launched the Diwali Bonus 2024 through the Ladki Bahin Yojana. Under this program, all women of the state can benefit from financial growth. Recently, the officials announced that the amount of Rs 3000 will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the eligible women for the 4th and 5th installments. While enjoying the festival, women will not be burdened with a lot of financial expenses.
The most prominent scheme of the government of Maharashtra through which it will provide finance to women is Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. The government has planned to disburse the Diwali bonus through its October and November installments before the deadline so that the beneficiaries can shop as much as possible during Diwali. More than 94,000 women have received the funds so far and will be able to plan well for the festival of Diwali.
Eligibility Criteria
To avail of the Diwali Bonus, women must meet the following requirements:
1. Residency- She must be a resident of Maharashtra.
2. Age- The applicant should not be older than 65 years.
3. Marital Status- The applicant may be married, unmarried, abandoned, divorced, or destitute.
4. Bank Account- The applicant must have a bank account in her name.
5. Income- The family income should not exceed more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs per year.

Who cannot apply
The applicant becomes ineligible in the following situations-
Family income of more than Rs. 2.5 lakh in one year.
Taxpayers and working officially in government sectors.
It includes households whose family members have been former MPs or MLAs.
Family members possess a four-wheeler, excepting tractors.
Diwali Bonus under the Ladki Bahin Yojana is a motivation from the Maharashtra government towards increasing the social status of women and eliminating financial pressures, especially during festival seasons.
