Latest Crypto Prices: Bitcoin Loses 3.78%, Ethereum Dips 2.21%, Doge Slips 4.73%

The global cryptocurrency market fell by 2.95 per cent to $1.08 trillion on Friday morning following a strong surge a day earlier. The value of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other popular altcoins has fallen.

The crypto market lost some of its gains on February 17, 2023 following two consecutive days of bullish trading. Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and other major alt coins traded in losses.

The global cryptocurrency market capitalisation stood at $1.08 trillion at 11 am IST on February 17, 2023, a decrease of 2.95 per cent from the previous day, according to data from coinmarket.com.

The total crypto market volume increased by 9.96 per cent to $80.92 billion over the last 24 hours.

The top trending crypto was OxAI.com (OXAI), but the top gainer for the day was Filecoin (FIL), up by 18.25 per cent to $6.49, while the top loser was Render Token (RNDR), down by 12.86 per cent to $1.82.

Cryptocurrency Prices

Bitcoin: The price of Bitcoin dipped by 3.78 per cent to $23,751.12. Following two days of trading in the green, Bitcoin started making losses around 12 pm IST on February 16, 2023. On Friday, BTC registered a three hour dip from 2 am IST onwards.

The price fell from $24,715 to $23,499. Correspondingly, its trading volume dipped from $24.71 billion to $23.42 billion.

Ethereum: ETH’s price dipped by 2.21 per cent to $1,656.70. After two days of trading in the green, ETH dipped into the red at 12.20 pm IST on Thursday, but gradually recovered. A three-hour drop in price from $1,690 to $1,638 occurred from 2 am IST on Friday. Its trading volume levels dipped from $12.82 billion to $12.52 billion.

The lowest price for ETH was $1,636.17. ETH’s trading volume was up by 1.78 per cent to $11.9 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) was down by 5.20 per cent to $22.59.

In the 24-hour trading, Ripple’s (XRP) price dipped 3.87 per cent to $0.3886, even as its trading volume surged 0.94 per cent.

Cardano (ADA) was down by 3.72 per cent to $0.3945. After a 4.63 per cent dip, its 24-hour trading volume reached $504 million.

Binance (BNB) dipped 5.39 per cent to $306.67. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 4.16 per cent to 908 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin dipped 4.73 per cent to $0.08592, and its 24-hour trading volume rose by 9.01 per cent.

Shiba Inu was down by 5.36 per cent to $0.000013.

Decentralised Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) dipped 3.10 per cent, even though its 24-hour trading volume was down by 12.68 per cent.

Avalanche (AVAX) was down by 5.38 per cent to $18.91, and its 24-hour trading volume increased 12.18 per cent.

Aave (AAVE) was trading with a loss of 5.18 per cent at $85.14.
