After a resounding response, Sony Network Communication Inc. and Astar Network will close the registration for their Web3 Incubation Programme, a smart multi-chain contract platform for developers, on March 6.

It has listed over 150 developers since the registration opened on February 17, 2023. The process will close at 11:59 pm Pacific Time on Monday. It said developers can still send their applications before the deadline.

The programme, a collaboration of Sony and Astar Network’s Singapore-based Startale Labs, will be held from mid-March to mid-June. After reviewing all submissions, they said 10 to 15 cohorts would be chosen.

Startale Labs CEO Sota Watanabe said: “I am amazed to see our developer community grow this quickly and welcome the new projects joining our Web3 Incubation Program with Sony Network Communications.”

Bitcoin Remains stable Despite Silvergate Fiasco

Bitcoin hasn’t been severely impacted as anticipated despite the Silvergate Bank fiasco, according to financial data firm Kaiko.

The Bank’s stock fell almost 56 per cent in intraday trading last week after reporting losses and admitting its struggle to remain solvent.

Major players in the crypto industry, such as Coinbase Global Inc., Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd., and Paxos Trust, moved quickly to sever ties with the beleaguered Bank, triggering disruption in the market as Silvergate’s troubles raised liquidity fears in the Bitcoin market.

Binance.US Accused Of Operating Ilegal Securities Exchange

A US official has accused Binance.US of operating an unauthorised securities exchange and that Voyager Digital sold VGX coins in breach of federal laws.

The comments came after the Southern District Bankruptcy Court in New York observed in a hearing that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) provided little guidance about its objection to the Voyager sale.

The hearing was held to determine whether Voyager should be sold to Binance.US.
