How to merge multiple UANs/EPF Accounts:  UAN i.e. Universal Account Number is a 12 digit unique number given to the employees by the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). As a rule, your UAN should remain the same throughout your career. Even if you change jobs, your UAN should remain the same. But sometimes it also happens that while changing jobs, some people get allotted a new universal account number. If this has happened to you too, then you should merge both your UANs. This is because if you have more than one UAN, you may find it difficult to withdraw money from EPF.
