The cryptocurrency prices moved up and down amid volatile trading on Thursday, December 29. Bitcoin (BTC) plunged nearly 3 per cent, while Ethereum (ETH) and Binance (BNB) saw marginal gains.
The broader market fell 0.30 per cent to $797.77 billion. The trading volume also decreased by 2.15 per cent to $29.02 billion in the last 24 hours, according to Coinmarketcap.com at 5:30 pm.
BitDAO (BIT) was the top gainer with an increase of 19.50 per cent, while Terra Classic (LUNC) was the top loser after dropping 8.0 per cent. Polygon (MATIC) was the most trending crypto followed by Terra Classic and Shiba Inu (SHIB).

Bitcoin: BTC fell 0.50 per cent to $16,606.93. The trading volume was also down 2.94 per cent to $16,089,703,175 in the last 24 hours. Its intraday price ranged from $16,651 to $16,603.
Binance: BNB rose 0.95 per cent to $246.01, while its 24-hour trading volume fell 14.19 percent to $370,401,144.
Ethereum: ETH’s price increased by 0.29 per cent to $1,199. Ethereum recovered some early losses around 2:30 pm when it began trading in the green.
Its 24-hour trading volume rose by 4.78 per cent to $4,741,518,411.
Other Altcoins
Solana’s (SOL) price dropped 6.28 per cent to $9.43. The trading volume declined 1.34 per cent.
Cardano (ADA) fell 2.62 per cent to $0.2455. Its trading volume fell by 0.66 per cent to $201,328,843.
Ripple’s (XRP) price dropped by 3.38 per cent to $0.3445.
Meme coins
Dogecoin (DOGE) dropped by 0.60 per cent to $0.07077. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 30.38 per cent at $322,205,953.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) was down by 0.61 percent to $0.000007943.

Yearn.Finance (YFI) was down by 1.60 per cent to $5,213.18. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 6.05 per cent at $17,767,876.
Avalanche (AVAX) was down by 1.85 per cent at $11.15 and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 31.47 per cent at $104,213,291.
Aave AAVE) was fell 0.59 per cent at $54.47. Its 24-hour trading volume was decreased by 27.38 per cent at $37,781,155.
