The global crypto market plunged 4.59 per cent to $1.21 trillion in the last 24 hours to Thursday morning, dragged down by sharp drop in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) prices. The trading volume went up 38.94 per cent to $64.11 billion.
Arbitrum (ARB) was the most trending cryptocurrency, up 27.41 per cent to $1.53, over the previous day. The 24-hour trading volume was $1.51 billion. BitTorrent (New) BTT gained the most, up 11.27 per cent to $0.0000006984.
On the other hand, Conflux CFX was the top loser, down 12.48 per cent to $0.3193. Its 24-hour trading volume was $272 million.
The DeFi segment accounted for volume 7.93 per cent or $5.09 billion of the crypto market’s total trading volume in the last 24 hours, coinmarketcap reported.
Cryptocurrency Prices
Bitcoin: Bitcoin’s price decreased by 4.39 per cent to $28,916.37. Its 24-hour trading volume was $25.75 billion. It is currently ranked number 1 on Coinmarketcap, based on market cap, same as yesterday. Its market dominance stood at 46.07 per cent, an increase of 0.16 per cent over the previous day.
Ethereum: Ethereum’s price plummeted 6.46 per cent to $1,953.36. Its 24-hour trading volume is $14.73 billion.
Tether: Tether increased by 0.04 per cent in the last 24 hours. It traded at $1, with a 24-hour trading volume of $44.97 billion. It is ranked third on coinmarketcap.
Other Altcoins
Solana’s (SOL) price fell by 7.80 per cent to $22.79 in the last 24 hours.
Avalanche traded at $19.09, down 9.46 per cent, while its 24-hour trading volume stood at $390 million.
Cardano (ADA) was down 4.19 per cent. It is ranked seventh, with a 24-hour trading volume of $585 million.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin (DOGE) declined 2.19 per cent, with a 24-hour trading volume of $1.59 billion.
Shiba Inu was down 5.61 per cent to $0.00001091.
Decentralised Finance
DeFi traded at $0.04604, the same as yesterday.
Yearn.finance was down by 6.55 per cent to $8,459.53 in the last 24 hours, while its 24-hour market cap was $277 million.
