The crypto market was trading in the red on February 9, 2023. Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance (BNB), Solana (SOL), and Aave (AAVE), all traded in losses, however, some altcoins, such as Dogecoin (DOGE), registered gains.
Based on Coinmarketcap.com at 11.00 am IST, the overall market dropped 2.74 per cent to $1.06 trillion, despite a 6.41 per cent increase in trading volume.
The top gainer today was Rocket Pool (RPL), up 8.53 per cent to $46.12, and the top loser was SingularityNET (AGIX), down 18.54 per cent to $0.4715.

Bitcoin: There was a 2.49 per cent drop in Bitcoin to $22,603.26. BTC's trade was highly volatile, but it always stayed in the red. Suddenly, around 8.20 pm IST on February 8, 2023, the price plummeted from $23,132 to $22,758. The lowest price for BTC was $22,458.26. BTC’s trading volume was up by 6.63 per cent at $28,864,810,033.
Ethereum: ETH’s price dipped 2.47 per cent to $1,627.26 in the last 24 hours to Thursday morning. The price of Ethereum fell rapidly around 8.20 pm on February 8, 2023, from $1,677 to $1,635 within one hour and thirty minutes. Its trading volume levels surged from $8.50 billion to $9.14 billion. The lowest price for ETH was $1,615.06. ETH’s trading volume was up by 1.50 per cent at $8,647,360,202.
Other Altcoins
At $22.85, Solana (SOL) is down 3.33 percent. The price of Ripple (XRP) fell 2.47 per cent to $0.4007, and its 24-hour trading volume was $908,921,711.
Cardano (ADA) was down 2.92 per cent at $0.387. A 4.69 percent decline was also seen in Cardano's 24-hour trading volume of $387,169,370.
Binance (BNB) declined 3.33 percent to $320.75. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 18.52 per cent to $631,385,840.
Meme Coins
One notable altcoin that showed growth is Dogecoin, which increased by 4.61 per cent to $0.08785. Its 24-hour trading volume was up 11.48 per cent to $593,999,589.
Shiba Inu was down by 6.73 per cent to $0.00001326.
Decentralised Finance (DeFi)
A price decline of 3.24 per cent was recorded by Yearn.Finance (YFI), while its 24-hour trading volume rose by 24.69 per cent.
Avalanche (AVAX) fell 5.13 per cent to $19.54 and its 24-hour trading volume dipped 4.45 per cent.
Aave (AAVE) was trading with a loss of 6.37 per cent at $82.81.
