The crypto market on December 19 was trading with losses, although some altcoins were up trading with gains. Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (Sol) were down and trading with losses, while Binance (BNB) and Aave (AAVE) and others were trading with gains.
The crypto market cap fell about 0.27 per cent to $806.84 billion and its trading volume was down by 16.55 per cent to $22.10 billion, according to data from Coinmarketcap.com at 8.55 am.
Cryptocurrency Prices
Bitcoin: BTC fell 0.35 per cent to $16,683.35.
BTC’s trade on December 14 was highly volatile with its price trading in a narrow range between $16,693.67 and $16,815.39. However, at midnight around 12, BTC experienced a sudden upward price momentum and it lifted it from the lows of $16,693.67 to highs of $16,815.39. This uplifting momentum stayed since midnight. In the morning of December 19, Bitcoin is swinging between red and green graphs.
The lowest price for BTC was $17,642.51. BTC’s trading volume was down by 0.83 per cent at $26,336,338,713.
Binance: Binance (BNB) was trading in the green zone in the last 24 hours, up 3.53 per cent with its price trading between the range of $240.73 to $253.34.
Binance’s trading volume was down by 9.49 per cent at $917,278,704.
Ethereum: Ethereum’s (ETH) price fell 0.49 per cent to $1,181.07 in the last 24 hours to Thursday morning.
ETH was also experiencing a volatile trade just like BTC. However, around 4 am on December 19 an uplifting momentum was prevalent in ETH’s trade and as a direct result of it, ETH’s price jumped to $1189.72. But its trading volume levels continued to remain lower.
The lowest price for ETH was $1,181.11. ETH’s trading volume was down by 11.20 per cent at $3,949,205,004.
Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price was down by 0.17 per cent at $12.42 today.
Ripple (XRP) was down by 0.84 per cent at $0.2677 and its 24-hour trading volume was $152,324,610.
Cardano (ADA) was down by 0.16 per cent to $0.2679. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume was down by 49.79 per cent to $152,428,096.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin fell 1.48 per cent at $0.07816. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 34.70 per cent at $270,748,815.
Shiba Inu was down by 2.49 per cent to $270,748,815.
Decentralised Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) was down by 1.91 per cent to $5,574.48. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 5 per cent at $12,967,738.
Avalanche (AVAX) was down by 0.32 per cent at $11.98 and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 26.20 per cent at $85,663,085.
Aave (AAVE) was trading with a gain of 0.58 per cent at $55.81 and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 30.57 per cent at $25,309,051.
