The global cryptocurrency market increased by 1.28 per cent to $1.20 trillion over the past 24 hours to Thursday morning, while the trading volume rose 0.39 per cent to $70.07 billion.
PancakeSwap (CAKE) was the most trending cryptocurrency at 9 am IST, priced at $2.62, down 2.76 per cent from the previous day. Its 24-hour trading volume was $83.3 million. MultiversX EGLD was the top gainer, up 22.90 per cent to $47.41.
On the other hand, NEAR Protocol (NEAR) was the top loser, down 2.80 per cent to $1.90. Its 24-hour trading volume was $11.5 million. The DeFi segment fell 7.31 per cent to $5.13 billion from the previous day, Coinmarketcap.com reported.

Bitcoin: Bitcoin’s price increased by 2.13 per cent to $28,952.22. Its 24-hour trading volume was $34.86 billion. It is currently ranked number 1 on Coinmarketcap, based on market cap. Bitcoin’s market dominance stood at 46.78 per cent, up 0.40 per cent over the previous day.
Ethereum: Ethereum’s price increased by 2.04 per cent to $1,903.70. Its 24-hour trading volume was $16.36 billion.
Tether: Tether fell by 0.01 per cent to $1 in the last 24 hours. Tether’s 24-hour trading volume was $47.42 billion. It is ranked third on Coinmarketcap.
Other Altcoins
Solana’s (SOL) price fell by 0.73 per cent to $21.64 in the last 24 hours.
Avalanche traded at $17.41, down 0.46 per cent, while its 24-hour trading volume stood at $327 million.
Cardano (ADA) rose 2.54 per cent. It is ranked seventh, with a 24-hour trading volume of $524 million.

Dogecoin (DOGE) rose 0.05 per cent, with a 24-hour price of $0.07988.
