Settle Your SCORES with Broke Brokers

I found this article particularly enlightening. Thank you for explaining so fully the dynamics that work behind the SCORES, and pointing out the probable questions and cautions that should accompany us while we invest. It is true there are many risks involved in the market, and scams are often conducted without our notice, leaving us repenting in the end. This article will certainly be an eye-opener for many, and hopefully people will be made more aware.

Homeward Bound

Buying your dream home is not a one-day activity and requires months of planning. And, as mentioned in the story, a lot of money and effort goes into finding that perfect house that fits your personality and serves all the requirements of your family. One wrong step might ruin your dream and no resonant sadness for the failed dream can help you remodel your dream home. I have seen many who end up paying their EMIs for almost a decade yet fail to get the possession. I am grateful to Outlook Money for throwing light on this matter and letting us know that  extended tax sops from the government, and favourable fiscal policies make it the right time to invest in real estate.

A Repeater of Royalty

What an interesting article! As an ardent lover of watches (and more of a window-shopper, I’m afraid), I enjoyed this story immensely. Horology has always fascinated me, and I am always on the lookout for information that will help my own knowledge regarding the subject grow. This article was a pleasure to read. I will definitely be taking a look at some of the pieces mentioned; the paragraph on the Hublot x MUFC collaboration particularly caught my notice!

Borrowing Against The Blues

I would like to thank Outlook Money for writing such a piece that will guide us financially in this hour of crisis. Even though we consider gold as a safe haven, many flock to loan against property, considering it as a safer option. According to me, the best piece of advice was - “While a gold loan is quick, highly liquid and has a short repayment period, loan against property is best suited when you want a large amount of money and it may require a long processing time. You can choose based on your requirements”. We need to keep in mind the eligibility criteria for loan against property is based on the financial status of the borrower and the value of the property.

Moms! Finance Isn’t About Pops Alone

This article rightfully states that women now make equal or more contributions in managing the finances of the house. There are several avenues by which women can improve their financial health and this article jots them down for us. Being a mother of two beautiful girls, I agree with the author on all the points.

Creative Folks, It’s Your Time Now

This was such a beautiful article, and such a pleasure to read. It is true that creative pursuits are often dubbed “not important enough” or “not as important as your [insert ‘more practical’ professional career]”, especially in Indian families, in which if you are not a successful doctor or lawyer or businessperson or something that is remotely un-creative, then you are branded a loser. It was so reassuring to read an article like this, and it provided me much comfort and solace. Hoping to see more such positive change in the Indian mentality and that someday in the near future, creative pursuits can be respected and admired for the beautiful respites they are.

You Needn’t Be Rich To Be Wealthy

This article by Larissa Fernand is a very unique take on personal finances. The line “It is the choices you make with your income that will determine whether you get wealthy, or not” has stuck with me. It is also a very insightful read because of the real-life case studies that are featured. I would love to read more such articles on Outlook Money.

Volatility May Sustain For Next Few Quarters

The interaction between Vishav and Harsh Jain throws light on the severe struggles that investors had to go through in the last sem, owing to the pandemic and its raging effects on the stock market. This short, crisp, and to-the-point article is very informative.

Beating on Beats

Hailing from a musical family, I have always looked up to Bikram Ghosh. Everytime he adds something new to his art and the article, which is like a peek through the curtain to the maestro’s art of living, has helped me understand that sharpening my skills can surely help me stay afloat in trying times.
