Recovery Is In The Horizon

In conversation with Rajat Mishra, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri talks about the government measures being taken to solve the realty crisis. Excerpts from the interview:   Are you satisfied with the pace of work being done to pull the realty sector out of the gloom? The realty sector is on its way to recovery. For the first time in 70 years, the government has introduced a regulator. Earlier the sector was characterised by culture of impunity and everything was informal. Now we have corrected that. You are going to see for the first time a certain organised predictability in the real estate sector. I think the recovery is already visible. And as far as affordable housing is concerned, the sector is doing very well. Out of the total 112 lakh homes, we have already sanctioned 93 lakh.
