An old timer ELSS, the fund had a stupendous start when it was known as Alliance Tax Relief 96. Over the years the fund has had its share of bad patches. However, over the past decade its performance has been consistently improving. The fund follows a multi-cap approach with a well diversified portfolio with exposure quality stocks and sectors. A factor that poses risk with this fund is its inability to hold on when the markets fall, but it adequately makes up for this shortfall by bouncing back aggressively when the markets go up.
