I have an ongoing Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) in an equity fund. Can I invest an additional amount in the same fund on a one-time basis?

It is heartening to note that you are investing through SIPs as a SIP offers you an opportunity to commit small sums to be invested regularly over a long time. You have the option to increase SIP contributions as and when you feel like by filling up an additional SIP form which should be duly filled with all the necessary details for the AMC to implement the request. You also have the choice to increase an additional fixed sum regularly to the existing SIP, known as top-up.
