SBI General Insurance Launches Comprehensive Super Health Insurance Plan

SBI General Insurance has unveiled a health insurance policy, named ‘Super Health Insurance’, the insurer announced in a press release on September 11, 2023.

According to the insurer, the product has been meticulously crafted to ensure that customers are equipped with a comprehensive healthcare policy that caters to all their medical needs, including hospital and other medical expenses.

The ‘Super Health Insurance’ policy boasts of an extensive array of coverages, encompassing 27 standard coverages along with seven optional ones. The product offers four distinct plans, each providing a broad spectrum of sum insured options, ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 2 crore.

Customers also have the flexibility to choose a policy tenure ranging from 1-3 years. The product, according to SBI General Insurance, has been designed to accommodate individuals across various income groups, including non-resident Indians (NRIs) as well as those from the lower income groups.

Key Highlights Of Super Health Insurance

The policy offers the following benefits

ReInsure Benefit: This provision provides policyholders with the option to refill the sum insured an unlimited number of times during the policy tenure, activated with the first payable claim. This feature ensures coverage for both related as well as unrelated illnesses or injuries.

Health Multiplier: This provision empowers policyholders to increase the sum insured for listed serious illnesses by a threefold multiplier.

Enhanced Cumulative Bonus (ECB): This applies a 50 per cent increase to the base sum insured from the immediate preceding policy year for each claim-free policy year.

Claims Shield Benefit: This feature facilitates payments toward non-medical expenses (commonly known as consumables) during hospitalisation.

Annual Health Check-Up From Day 1: This feature ensures that policyholders have access to annual health check-ups from the very first day of coverage.

Outpatient (OPD) Cover: This provides coverage for outpatient expenses, including diagnostics and pharmacy costs.

Supporting A Medical Treatment Abroad Cover: This provision extends coverage for 16 major listed illnesses when seeking medical treatment abroad.
