Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Ltd., formerly Max Bupa Health Insurance Company Ltd., has launched its new “Student Travel Plan”, offering insurance coverage beyond health, such as trip delays and cancellation, loss of baggage or documents, like passport, driving license, etc.
The company says this comprehensive health insurance product, under TravelAssure launched on Monday, is specifically designed to cater to the needs of students embarking on higher studies abroad for short or long-term courses.
The plan, it says, “offers extensive coverage for all conditions, thus giving students the license to make the most of their stay abroad, without worrying about any unpleasant incident”. While studying abroad is an enriching experience that opens doors to countless opportunities, it also brings with it unique challenges, including the need for reliable healthcare coverage, it noted.

Recognizing this need, Niva Bupa has developed the student travel variant under TravelAssure to provide complete health coverage tailored to the students' specific needs abroad, regardless of the courses they have enrolled on—undergraduate, postgraduate degree, or research fellowship.
The plan is available for students from India or any other foreign country. It said students can now focus on their studies without worrying about medical expenses or unexpected health issues.
