Narayana Health Insurance, the latest venture of Narayana Health, has unveiled its first health insurance product named ‘Aditi’. The insurance plan extends Rs 1 crore coverage for the family of four for the premium of 10,000 floaters and Rs 5 lakh in treatment costs at Narayana Health network. “Narayana ‘Aditi’ is designed to protect families from the financial burdens of medical expenses, offering peace of mind during challenging times,” Dr Devi Shetty, chairman of Narayana Health and Narayana Health Insurance remarked at the launch of this insurance cover.
“With the launch of Aditi, we embark on a transformative journey to make quality healthcare a reality for every Indian and up to Rs. 1 crore coverage for the family of four for the premium of 10,000 floaters. This is just the beginning,” Shetty added.
About ‘Aditi’ Insurance Cover
Initially, Narayana Health Insurance will roll out this insurance product in four districts around Mysore to gather feedback and adapt the plan to ensure optimal service and scalability.
Stating that traditional health insurance can be an overwhelming process for most people, Viren Prasad Shetty, vice chairman, of Narayana Hrudayalaya says that the health major designed 'Aditi' to redefine health insurance as a tool for ‘proactive healthcare and not reactive treatment’.
This insurance cover extends a single plan prioritising life-saving care. It eliminates hidden fees and doesn’t have long waiting periods, the company has said.
The coverage of this plan is primarily within the trusted Narayana Health network. However, in case of emergencies and specific situations, the insurance extends to limited coverage outside the network.
The claim settlement process within the Narayana Health network is designed to be hassle-free, the company has notified the same in other facilities is not yet clear. Moreover, the plan also covers treatment in general wards, ‘eliminating the burden of expensive room selections’, the company has shared.
