Trezor, one of the leading manufacturers of crypto hardware wallets, on October 12, 2023 released three new self-custody products on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. The new products include a new Trezor wallet, a proprietary private key backup solution, and a Bitcoin-only wallet. They have been designed with a focus on providing entry-level devices.

The Trezor Safe 3, which is a new hardware wallet, will support more than 7,000 cryptocurrencies, the Czech Republic-based company said. It added that the introduction of the new wallet represents a significant turning point in Trezor’s offering of entry-level hardware wallets. Trezor Safe 3 comes in four colours: solar gold, stellar silver, galactic rose, and cosmic black, with a suggested retail price of $79.

Incidentally, the Trezor Safe 3 wallet was released nearly five years after the hardware wallet company introduced the Trezor Model T in February 2018.

Stars Arena Recovers 90% Of Stolen Funds

Web3.0 social media platform Stars Arena claims to have recovered nearly all of the cryptocurrency stolen from it during an exploit on October 7, 2023, except for a 10 per cent prize to the exploiter.

According to Stars Arena, 90 per cent of the 266,000 Avalanche exploited, which were at the time worth over $3 million, were returned after an agreement was reached to pay a bounty of 27,610 AVAX, which is worth almost $257,000, to the exploiter.

The exploiter of the Web 3.0 social media platform agreed to keep a 10 per cent bounty in exchange for returning the remainder of the stolen funds. Additionally, the incentive included payment for 1,000 AVAX worth over $9,000 that the exploiter allegedly lost in a bridge.

Stars Arena said in a second post that it had developed a new smart contract and was finishing an audit of it before putting the returned cash in it and launching.

Immutable Teams Up With AWS In Latest Web 3.0 Gaming Push

Immutable, a Web 3.0 gaming company, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have teamed up to increase the choices for game makers, as the cloud service provider grows its start-up accelerator programmes.

Immutable said in a blog post on October 10 that AWS has added it to a list of firms in its independent software vendors (ISV) accelerate programme, where businesses offer software solutions that operate on or interface with AWS. The Blockchain gaming firm further said that it will gain access to a vast pipeline of game studio leads and support for successful deal closures.

Additionally, AWS Activate, a programme that offers benefits including technical support, training, and $100,000 worth of AWS cloud credits, is open to developers who want to create on Immutable’s Blockchain.

John Kearney, the head of start-ups at AWS Australia, told Cointelegraph that Immutable is a “great example of a local Aussie start-up that has gone global” and underlined the cloud provider’s commitment to promoting the creation of Web 3.0 games using its infrastructure.
