The global cryptocurrency market continued on its downhill journey on Friday, with most of the major coins, including Bitcoin and Ethereum marginally losing value, even as trading gained momentum. The total market cap was down by 3.21 per cent to $1.05 trillion, while the total trading volume was up by 31.19 per cent to $37.89 billion.
CyberConnect CYBER was the most trending cryptocurrency for the second consecutive day, down by 2.71 per cent to $8.67. Its 24 hour trading volume was $234.53 million.
Maker MKR was the top gainer, up by 12.41 per cent to $1,167.95 in the last 24 hours. Its 24 hour trading volume was $149.19 million.
Stacks STX was the top loser, down by 6.30 per cent to $0.4959 in the last 24 hours. Its 24-hour trading volume was $46.94 million.
DeFi fell 6.61 per cent to $2.51 billion, Coinmarketcap.com reported.

Bitcoin: Bitcoin was down by 4.50 per cent to $26,031.38. Its 24-hour trading volume was $20.31 billion. It is currently ranked number 1 on Coinmarketcap, based on the market cap. Bitcoin’s market dominance was at 48.33 per cent, down by 0.58 per cent over the last 24 hours.
Ethereum: Ethereum was down by 2.97 per cent to $1,650.55 from the previous day. Its 24-hour trading volume was $6.74 billion.
Tether: Tether was down by 0.01 per cent to $0.9997 in the last 24 hours. Tether’s 24-hour trading volume was $27.66 billion. It is ranked third on Coinmarketcap.

Solana (SOL) was down by 4.10 per cent to $19.87. Its 24-hour trading volume was $350.11 million.
Avalanche was trading at $10.02, down by 3.35 per cent, while its 24-hour trading volume was $138.67 million.
Cardano ADA was down by 3.32 per cent to $0.2563 from the previous day. Its 24-hour trading volume was $207.93 million.
