Azuki DAO, an unofficial community decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) surrounding the namesake non-fungible token (NFT) collection, has announced its rebranding to “Bean”. The announcement came after it decided to drop a proposed lawsuit against the NFT collection’s founder, Zagabond, over a $39 million minting affair.

In a statement sent to Cointelegraph, Azuki developers said it will rebrand into a memecoin project and become part of the Ethereum layer-2 Blast ecosystem. Developers also said that Bean has also secured $10 million from “prominent investors” for its development and acceleration within the Blast ecosystem.

The proposed Bean memecoin will have a total supply of 1 billion. Forty per cent of tokens will be allocated to its treasury, 50 per cent to Azuki DAO members, and 10 per cent to Azuki NFT creator Zagabond. Minting is only available to Azuki NFT holders, who must do so within 24 hours of the token’s launch or face “token burn”, it added.

Square Enix Announces Auction Dates For Symbiogenesis NFTs

Final Fantasy game developer Square Enix has announced auction dates for its upcoming Symbiogenesis NFTs.

In a social media post on November 24, 2023, the team said it would sell the NFTs in three batches. The first batch will be auctioned on November 27 and November 28, while the second batch will be sold from November 30 to December 4. This third batch will be sold on December 2 and December 3. Symbiogenesis is Square Enix’s upcoming blockchain game that features Ethereum-based NFTs.

According to the game’s documents, the first phase will include facet and mesh characters and will only allow “stakeholders” to participate. This seems to imply that only early investors will be able to participate in the November 27–28, 2023 phase. The second and third phases will be available to participants in an “allowlist entry campaign”.

Apparently, the game’s team ran the allowlist entry campaign from November 7-21. Collectors were asked to participate in a series of quizzes, as well as a “treasure hunt” that took place within a prototype version of the Symbiogenesis game world.
