BMW, on Thursday, launched its locally produced series 5 manufactured from its plant in Chennai. The luxury car is available in both petrol and diesel variants.

With features such as remote-control parking, BMW Head-up Display, reversing assistant, parking assistant and BMW Gesture Control, the car comes with a starting price of Rs 62.9 lakh. The BMW 5 Series comes fitted with advanced driver assistance systems.

The 5 Series includes three cars, BMW 530i M Sport available at Rs 62.9 lakh; BMW 520d Luxury Line worth Rs 63.9 lakh and BMW 530d M Sport costing Rs 71.9 lakh.

Offering a variety of colours, the car comes with bespoke interiors and exclusive upholstery choices. For the first time, the leading car brand has offered Phytonic Blue metallic and Bernina Grey Amber effects on its cars.

BMW 5 series packs splendid interiors and upholstery. The BMW 530i features new perforated Sensatec trim with contrast stitching along new-M specific aluminium rhombicle smoke trim and individual high gloss satin chrome. BMW 520d features Natural Leather Dakota upholstery and offers fine-wood trim with an exclusive pearl chrome finish. BMW 530d features refined ‘Nappa’ leather upholstery with diamond stitching and offers M specific Aluminium Rhombicle Smoke trim.
