Scammers here, claim to be someone the user knows such as a friend or family member and ask for support accessing their account and taking sensitive personal information. 

How to be safe 

1. Beware of Impulse Buys: In order to avoid scams, one needs to avoid impulse shopping. Getting attracted to promotions and discounts can lead to ignoring the platform's validity and one can fall under scams. 

2. Limit Personal Information

When signing up for deals, be cautious with the personal information that you are being asked to provide. Only give vital information as revealing too much information increases the chance of data theft and privacy violations. 

3. Avoid Public Wi-Fi for Transactions

Beware of making purchases over unsecured networks, such as open Wi-Fi at shopping malls. These networks may expose financial data to hackers, putting users' accounts at risk.
