It is a scheme launched by the government of Madhya Pradesh to reduce the unemployment rate in the state. For this, the government planned to encourage the youth to get employment in the private sector.
Under the 'Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana', youth are given training for one year in identified industrial and commercial establishments. The youth selected under the scheme will be called 'student-trainee'.
Sikho Kamao Yojana aims to provide skills to such youth and prepare them for employment.
Youth aged between 18 to 29 years, who are residents of Madhya Pradesh and whose educational qualification is 12th/ITI passed or above are eligible for the scheme.
Sectors like Aerospace and Aviation, Agriculture, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance, Beauty and Wellness IT etc come under the scheme training.
To access scheme benefits, one has to register on the MMYS portal with a Samagra ID and registered mobile number. Then, verify the OTP sent to mobile, and view auto-filled information. Receive login credentials via SMS, attach educational documents, select a preferred course, and choose a training location.
Benefits include Training in new technology and processes, with a stipend provided. Successful completion leads to an SCVT certificate issued by MPSSDEGB. Applicants can seek employment post-training, with the potential for regular employment if desired by the company.
