The last date to update Aadhaar details online for free is extended till Sep 14, 2024.
Wrong information on Aadhaar card, like name, date of birth, address, phone number, email, or update children's biometric details, etc.
Log into the UIDAI website with Aadhaar ID and one-time password (OTP) and follow the steps to provide the details and scanned copies of the required documents.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) charges Rs 100 to update biometric details and Rs 50 to change demographic information.
As per the UIDAI website, 90 per cent of update requests are completed within a month.
UIDAI advises people to update their Aadhaar information every 10 years to keep the card relevant.
