Outlook Money

Pensioners

Central and state government pensioners must submit their life certificates or Jeevan Pramaan annually to show they are alive and continue receiving pensions. They can submit the certificate digitally and physically. For the convenience of senior citizens, the government allows online submission of the certificate.

Submission Modes

The first step is face, fingerprint, and iris biometric authentication by pensioners through Jeevan Pramaan and Aadhaar Face RD apps.

2. Submission

Submission can be facilitated by the Indian Post Payment Bank Gramin Dak Sewaks and Postmen when booked through the Postinfo App for Rs 70.

Doorstep Banking

The doorstep banking services facility can be availed by downloading the ‘Doorstep Banking’ app or dialling the toll-free numbers at an additional Rs 75 and Pensioners can also check their nearest Common Service Centres (CSCs) by visiting the Jeevan Pramaan portal.

In-Person Submission

Life certificates can also be submitted directly at banks, post offices, or other designated centres.

Validation For certificate

Super-senior pensioners aged 80 and above can submit it in October or November annually. The certificate stays valid for a year or until November 30 the following year.
