The Little Book of Bull Moves

How to Keep Your Calm When the Market is Up, Down or Sideways

This updated Peter Schiff book is a follow up to his previous Crash Proof. Schiff is credited to have predicted the collapse of housing and financial markets in 2007-2008. With a foreword by Marc Faber, the author warns of an inevitable downturn of an economy that was only possible through speculation borne of low interest rates.

The book goes back in time by looking into bull runs in the US in 1920's, 1960's, and 1990's along with subsequent bear runs and tries to look for similarities and differences in the economic and political mood of each of the eras. Accordingly, he discusses investment strategies that worked and how some of these learnings is applicable even today.

Each of the 12 chapters is like a mini story. There are chapters that focus on market cycles, commodities, foreign economies compared to the US economy. The chapter that draws curiosity is the one about employment. Schiff talks about industries that will suffer, as well as the jobs that offer the most opportunity which are all signs of where to invest and where not to.

However, not all of Schiff’s predictions have come true, so you do not need to be overly influenced by the suggestions in the book. As the information packed in this book makes for a great read and shares ideas which could change the way you view a bull market.
