Based on the lending rate, there is very little that distinguishes between a private sector bank and a PSU bank offering home loans. What you need to check other than the loan rate is the services offered by the bank in terms of quick turnaround time on loan disbursement and also how strict it is on recovery. As a borrower you should not be bothered too much by who the lender is as the guidelines on lending are uniformly set by the RBI and at best individual lenders may have a few rules of their own that they may follow to arrive at the amount of loan they would extend to you.
