I have a savings bank account with Indian Bank. Recently, the bank debited Rs 100 from my account saying the account had been inoperative for six months. Is the bank correct in debiting the charges? If not, please advise how to proceed?
Take up the matter with the bank manager and also check with them about where this rule is stated

Take up the matter with the bank manager and also check with them about where this rule is stated to get a better fix on what the rules state and what it costs a person if they tend to not operate their account. If the matter does not get resolved at this level, approach the banking ombudsman as banks are required to keep their websites updated, especially their schedule of charges.
