It is a good move to consider a family floater health insurance. A family floater policy is designed to offer health cover to family member. It is similar to an individual health insurance policy, which includes the whole family to protect the health of all the members covered under the policy. Most family floater health insurance policy covers individuals, spouse and children. Some insurance companies also offer family health plans that cover dependent parents, siblings and parents-in-law.
Family Floater Health Plan takes care of all the medical expenses during sudden illness, surgeries and accidents and provides a blanket overall cover to all the members included in a scheme. As you are newly married a family floater plan would include both you and your husband. As your parents are not dependent on you, they cannot get coverage under the same policy. You may, however, consider a separate policy for your parents.
