You can include the new purchase in your householder’s insurance policy in between the period when the policy is still running. For the purpose, you would have to give a letter to the insurance company giving particulars of the items purchased and its value. The insurance company would charge the premium corresponding to it for the remaining time period in your current insurance policy and would issue an endorsement to that effect. Later, upon the date of renewal, the policy along with the endorsement can be renewed for another year.
