The global crypto market was bullish for the second consecutive day, on February 16, 2023. It was a profitable day for Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and other major alt coins.
The global cryptocurrency market rose 8.78 per cent on Thursday morning, reaching $1.12 trillion. Bitcoin and other popular altcoins gained in value. Even the top loser lost only 0.50 per cent
The global crypto market was bullish for the second consecutive day, on February 16, 2023. It was a profitable day for Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and other major alt coins.
The global cryptocurrency market capitalisation stood at $1.12 trillion at 11 pm IST, an increase of 8.78 per cent from the previous day, according to data from coinmarket.com.
The total crypto market volume increased by 25.13 per cent to $73.36 billion over the last 24 hours.
The top trending crypto was Blur (BLUR), but the top gainer for the day was Optimism (OP), up by 19.06 per cent to $2.83, while the top loser was PAX Gold (PAXG), down by 0.50 per cent to $1,824.73.
Cryptocurrency Prices
Bitcoin: The price of Bitcoin rose by 11.57 per cent to $24,670.34. After multiple days of trading in red, Bitcoin started making gains on February 15, 2023. On Thursday, BTC extended the gains further.
During the period between 1.25 am and 6 am IST, the price of Bitcoin rose from $23,276 to $24,755. Correspondingly, its trading volume jumped from $26.72 billion to $33.81 billion.
Ethereum: ETH’s price rose by 9.27 per cent to $1,693.07. ETH extended its gain from yesterday. A gradual upward trend was seen in Ethereum, and at 12.40 am IST on Thursday, its price shot up from $1,589 to $1,688 in two hours. Its trading volume levels surged from $7.50 billion to $9.41 billion.
The lowest price for ETH was $1,546. ETH’s trading volume was up by 26.54 per cent to $11.6 billion.
Other Altcoins
Solana (SOL) was up by 10.49 per cent to $23.85.
In its 24-hour trading, Ripple’s (XRP) price rose 5.07 per cent to $0.4013, even as its trading volume surged 14.37 per cent.
Cardano (ADA) was up by 6.48 per cent to $0.4104. After a 4.14 per cent increase, its 24-hour trading volume reached $529 million.
Binance (BNB) rose 9.23 per cent to $324.09. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 35.89 per cent to $870.7 million.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin rose 4.20 per cent to $0.08951, and its 24-hour trading volume rose by 15.98 per cent.
Shiba Inu was up by 7.29 per cent to $0.0000137.
Decentralised Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) surged by 5.98 per cent, even though its 24-hour trading volume was up by 56.34 per cent.
Avalanche (AVAX) was up by 10.28 per cent to $20.03, and its 24-hour trading volume increased by 24.89 per cent.
Aave (AAVE) was trading with a gain of 6.75 per cent at $89.32.
