Bitcoin (BTC) was down by 0.11 per cent, Ethereum (ETH) gains 0.22 per cent and Binance (BNB) was down by 1.34 per cent. PancakeSwap was the most trending crypto.
The crypto market was trading in the red on Thursday evening. Although the prices of a few major cryptos like Bitcoin (BTC) and Binance (BNB) fell, Ethereum (ETH) and altcoins like Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) saw an upward price momentum and were trading in the green.
The crypto market cap was down by 0.14 per cent at $811.28 billion at 5:45 pm on Thursday evening. Its trading volume also decreased by 19.44 per cent to $24.56 billion.
Helium (HNT) was the top gainer with its price increasing by 19.76 per cent, whereas Chain (XCN) was the top loser with its price dropping by 5.65 percent. PancakeSwap was the most trending at $3.35.
Cryptocurrency Prices
Bitcoin: BTC plunged 0.11 per cent to $16,835.55.
BTC traded in red on December 22, 2022, with its price fluctuating between $16,802 and $16,846. However, it showed a slight upward momentum around 3:40 pm. Its highest price for the day was $16,866. BTC’s 24-hour trading volume dropped 19.86 per cent to $14,067,858,716.
Binance: BNB had a constant downward momentum throughout the day. Its price was down by 1.34 per cent to $245.30.
BNB’s trading volume fell by 14.45 per cent to $471,346,827 in last 24 hours to Thursday evening.
Ethereum: ETH’s price increased by 0.22 per cent to $1216.64.
ETH’s trading was highly volatile with its price moving around $1,200. Although Ethereum traded in the red till 6 am, it later rose to $1,219, its highest price for the day. However, its 24-hour trading volume fell by 27.85 percent to $3,712,231,979.
Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price rose by 0.34 per cent to $12.11.
Ripple (XRP) rose by 1.01 per cent to $0.3464. Its trading volume dropped by 22.68 per cent to $627,061,550.
Cardano (ADA) was up by 0.21 per cent $0.2533 and its 24-hour trading volume was $146,345,344.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin (DOGE) was up by 5.30 per cent to $0.07704. Its 24-hour trading volume declined by 0.07 percent to $404,863,976.
Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) price increased by 1.05 per cent to $0.000008383.
Decentralised Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) was up by 1.09per cent to $5,625.59. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 18.01 per cent at $11,488,609
Avalanche (AVAX) decreased by 1.17 per cent at $11.70 and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 20.04 per cent at $89,866,888
Aave (AAVE) was trading with loss of 1.28 per cent at $55.44 and its 24-hour trading volume was at $30.11million.
