Crypto Market Dips Marginally, Trading Volume Rises; Bitcoin, Ethereum Down

The global crypto market declines marginally on Friday. The total market cap was down by 1.05 per cent to $2.11 trillion whereas the total trading volume was up by 13.89 per cent to $67.46 billion. Bitcoin BTC was the most trending. It was down by 1.17 per cent to $57,086.41. Its 24-hour trading volume was $28.42 million. Mantra OM was the top gainer. It was up by 8.82 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $195.59 million. Bonk BONK was the top loser. It was down by 10.27 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $314.73 million.

DeFi was down by 0.51 per cent to $4.16 billion, Coinmarketcap.com reported.

Sathvik Vishwanath, Co-Founder & CEO, Unocoin said, "In June, Bitcoin opened at $67,741 but closed lower at $61,529, down 15.2%. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index hit an 18-month low, indicating waning investor confidence. Concerns arose from the German sale of more than 27,000 BTC and installments from Mt. Gox. Despite a brief increase in daily active addresses, overall Bitcoin network activity has decreased. Bitcoin dominance peaked at 52.92% on June 15, the most since April 2021. Immunefi reported a loss of $572.7 million due to hackers in Q2 2024, with significant breaches on Bitcoin DMM and BtcTurk. However, there have been positive signs of adoption, including the expansion of Strike in the UK, the legalization of Bitcoin in Bolivia, and increased activity in Bitcoin ETFs and mining companies."

Bitcoin: Bitcoin BTC was down by 1.17 per cent to $57,086.41. Its 24-hour trading volume was 28.42 billion. It is currently ranked number 1 on Coinmarketcap, based on market cap. Bitcoin’s market dominance was 53.5 per cent.

Ethereum: Ethereum ETH was down by 0.48 per cent to $3,087.14 from the previous day. Its 24-hour trading volume was $15.26 billion. Ethereum’s market dominance was 17.9 per cent.

Tether: Tether USDT was trading at $1.00. It was up by 0.04 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $52.29 billion. It is ranked third on Coinmarketcap.

Other Altcoins

Solana SOL was down by 3.59 per cent to $135.70. Its 24-hour trading volume was $2.44 billion.

Avalanche AVAX was trading at $25.38, down by 0.40 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $308.15 million.

Cardano ADA was up by 1.90 per cent to $0.3988 from the previous day. Its 24-hour trading volume was $318.63 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin DOGE was down by 1.62 per cent, with a 24-hour price of $0.1062.

Shiba Inu SHIB was up by 1.93 per cent to $0.00001609.

Decentralised Finance

DeFi coin was trading at $0.03439, down by 5.16 per cent.

Yearn.Finance YFI was down by 0.77 per cent to $5,748.32 in the last 24 hours. Its 24-hour trading volume was $14.53 million.
