Card issuers and banks offer you a higher credit limit if you are a regular and disciplined user of the credit card. For you to seek an enhancement on your credit limit, you need to have a good credit score, regular repayment history and, if you can also share an increase in your income over time, you can automatically seek and receive a higher credit limit on your card. However, be aware that a higher credit limit should not tempt you to spend more than you can service, which means it may make sense in maintaining a credit limit based on your usage rather than seek a higher credit limit to increase your spends.
